AN APPEAL TO KATSINA STATE GOVERNMENT TO REVIEW U-TURNS OF KOFAR SORO - KOFAR GUGA ROAD

"Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda deserves to be commended for the way he is building roads across Katsina State to facilitate travel and interaction among the people".
A young businessman, Zahradden Lawal, has congratulated Governor Radda on the successful two-day working visit of the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, who returned home safely, after conducting the visit peacefully and receiving a warm welcome from the people of the state. Zahradden, who compared Governor Radda to the late former President Malam Umar Musa 'Yar'adua in his efforts to feed the state and the people in various ways.
"Roads are among the things that move a community forward in terms of business, agriculture and livestock, as well as friendship between people. Governor Radda has completed this rewarding project. If you look especially on us, small business owners, this road project has progressed much. However, we have a complaint or appeal to the Governor, especially on that historic highway here in Katsina town, namely, the 'IBB WAY' which runs from Kano to the border with Niger Republic. It is the first highway that ran through Katsina town even before the state was established. However, this road widening project which started from the intersection of Ƙofar Soro to Ƙofar Guga has terminated this very busy road".
From Ƙofar Soro to Ƙofar Guga there is only one U-turn, which is a serious problem for the businesses that are being done on this road and the neighborhoods that benefit from it in terms of small businesses that women run on it. Your Excellency, the U-turns at CPC, Gobarau, Chake market and Usman Sarki Street that were done are a serious problem for this community. This single U-turn near the Danshinkafi shop, which is a challenge, apart from adding to the problems and accidents among vehicles, has not helped. If any party wants to turn to the other side, after turning to enter, they have to reverse back at first stage before entering and exiting again. In our eyes, we have seen many accidents occurred on the one hand, when entering or exiting, because someone who is on the main road has come out directly, and there have been clashes due to the lack of turning space. The lack of a turning point has vanished the Gobarau historical site and the road will lead to the road from Kofar Sauri to Kofar Soro. And there is an eye hospital on this road".
Noting these things, the young businessman called on Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda and his administration to look into the matter of reopening the turning point on this IBB road and Kofar Soro to Kofar Guga. Zahradden also commended the Governor for hosting the APC North West Zone constitution amendments conference hosted by the Governor. "This is another development for this administration", said Zahradden Lawal.
